This past Tuesday was the official opening of our newly remodeled showers and restrooms. Our organizations’s facilities had not been updated since we first moved into the building in 1992, and some fixtures had unfortunately fallen into disrepair. We broke ground at the end of March, and we now have double the number of shower stalls for our guests, as well as a new washer and dryer for our guests in case management. We celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony and some arts and crafts with our guests, as well as provided haircuts.

“It’s beautiful. It’s such an improvement from the last bathroom,” said Richard, an SFC homeless guest.
A huge thanks for a significant donation from an anonymous foundation, additional support from the Gesner-Johnson Foundation, and Tile Designs by Fina.
In case you missed our ribbon-cutting ceremony, we welcome you for a tour of the facilities. Please contact: Marianne Reifer, Development Director, marianne@sfcla.org.
