From the desk of Mary Yuengert, Volunteer Coordinator:
As summer heats up, so do our volunteer needs! What better way to spend those extra hours of sunlight than serving those in need? Whether it’s through gathering together a group of visiting family members or volunteering with your child during his or her summer vacation, giving back to our homeless and low-income guests is a surefire way to kickstart your time off.
- Direct Service: Help serve breakfast to our homeless guests or distribute groceries to our families in need
- Sandwich Artists: Preparing sandwiches for our homeless guests
- Super Organizers: Help organize donations of food and goods
Starting in July, we will be holding a weekly raffle for anyone who brings a new volunteer with them to SFC. Prizes include a SFC drawstring bag or water bottle.
- Help give our youth unforgettable memories this summer.
