SFC’s Art Display Inspires Homeless Guest to Give Back

“Feed the body food and drink, it will survive today. Feed the soul art and music, it will live forever.” – Julie Andrews

Last year, SFC held its first art contest for guests who utilize our programs. We have held several other art contests since and now feature an ongoing display of art from our guests on the walls in our front program room.

One of our artists, Jorge, has been utilizing SFC’s services for about a year and has entered our art contests several times. Recently, during our breakfast, another guest Noah, who has a passion for art, felt so inspired by Jorge’s art and the sense of community at SFC that he wanted to give a donation to support our services. He also recommended Jorge for a commissioned painting of a saint for a church in Hollywood.
We believe by giving our guests the means and opportunity to share their artistic gifts,
we are restoring hope needed to lead to positive change.
Will you help us continue our mission of Serving Hope to those experiencing homelessness?
A donation of just $5.75 can feed someone in need.
