SFC’s Volunteer Spotlight ~ Lauren and Ofir!

MEET LAUREN AND OFIR!

Lauren has been volunteering with St. Francis Center for four years, and convinced her husband, Ofir, to be a volunteer a year and a half ago.

Lauren started volunteering at SFC because she wants to overcome the social stigma toward people who live on the street. Since being a volunteer, she has found many connections with the people of St. Francis Center.

Ofir decided to become a volunteer, because he always wanted to give back and make a difference in other people’s lives.

“My favorite part about volunteering is meeting the people that are coming to breakfast, getting to know them and getting inspired by their strength,” Ofir said.

In the future, both Lauren and Ofir hope that St. Francis Center will continue to expand and grow so we can help even more people in the community.

In their free time, Lauren likes to do martial arts, yoga, and meditate, and Ofir likes to enjoy the outdoors and travel.

Come volunteer alongside Lauren, Ofir, and some of our other regular volunteers. Please contact Corinne, volunteer coordinator, at volunteer@sfcla.org or 213.747.5347 x.111.

Meet Lauren and Ofir, two of our wonderful, regular volunteers!
