SFC’S Volunteer Spotlight ~ Nancy!

MEET NANCY!

Nancy on a recent hiking trip in Patagonia!

Please meet one of our wonderful volunteers, Nancy! Nancy started volunteering at SFC in March 2018, and now is one of our regular Tuesday volunteers during breakfast!

One of Nancy’s favorite parts about volunteering is getting the chance to connect with our guests, and bring joy to their lives. She also enjoys the sense of community at St. Francis Center.

“Many of our guests, whose daily lives are a struggle, possess an amazing strength of spirit. With little comforts of their own, some bow their heads in gratitude for their meal, say, “Thank you, and “God bless you” for their cup of coffee in the mornings, or offer smiles and jokes as they greet you in the morning.”

In the future, Nancy hopes that SFC will be able to expand its case management program, and continue its caring and inclusive services to the community.

In her free time, Nancy likes to garden, read, travel, hike, and is currently taking a Spanish class! and inclusive services to the community.

We are in need of volunteers!
